From Man United to Chelsea
One of the switch rumours in the English press on Sunday linked former Man United boss Louis van Gaal with Chelsea.
The story was spun by the Sunday Mirror.
Of course, Van Gaal is at present out of labor following his stint in the Man United dugout.
But might he actually change Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer time? The Mirror advised their readers the following:
Louis van Gaal is the shock title in the body to switch Antonio Conte at Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge hierarchy have thought-about the skilled Dutchman if Conte’s relationship with the London membership utterly breaks down.
Van Gaal, 66, is searching for a short-term job – and is determined to have one other crack at the Premier League after being axed by Manchester United in 2016, only a day after profitable the FA Cup.
Louis van Gaal talks about Chelsea
So is there any fact in the Chelsea rumours?
On Sunday Louis van Gaal appeared on Dutch TV.
Indeed, the former Man United boss was again at Wembley to behave as a pundit for the Carabao Cup remaining between Man City and Arsenal.
When the challenge of Chelsea was posed to LVG, he smacked it down as “fake news”.
So will the Sunday Mirror should justify their story? No, in fact not.
